Andy Slinger –
UK Children’s Author
Andy was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, UK and grew up living in various different places including Germany before returning to Clitheroe to settle down. After gaining a Bachelors degree in Media Production in 2004 he forged a highly successful career in Retail Management before launching his foray as a UK Children’s Author.
He writes in a humorous, fun and exciting style, whilst addressing hard hitting topics in his books. His debut novel The Super Twins was released on 4th September 2020.
It regularly hits the Amazon best seller list and is a finalist in the Wishing Shelf book awards. The Super Twins Two was released in April 2021 to rave reviews. He says it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a full time children’s author.
Squeezed in amongst his professional duties he’s a dad to identical twin boys, who are his absolute world. He loves to go to the gym, swim and completed his first half-marathon in September 2021.

Andy was honoured to be a special guest and open the brand new library at Barrow Primary School near Clitheroe.

He was a special guest at Waddington & West Bradford Primary School, where he answered loads of questions from the kids and read from The Super Twins 2. They had done a topic around the books, created their own super hero characters.
The kids said the next book he writes has to include cheese!
